Is the PKG report the same as before?

Yes. Clinicians receive the classic PKG report, using the same validated algorithms and interpretation. The interface for accessing the report is now available through Empatica’s cloud-based Care Portal.

Are the PKG algorithms identical to the previous (legacy) PKG system?

Yes, all validated motor assessment algorithms are unchanged. Clinicians can expect clinical comparability and continuity with previous PKG data.

Can I compare PKG data collected with the old device to data collected with EmbraceMini?

Is there an option for patients to log medications?

Yes, a new companion app, called PKG Monitor, will allow patients to add doses, and keep a digital medication log. Medication intake will appear inside the report to provide additional context for interpreting PKG measures.
