The Empatica Cloud API allows clinical trial sponsors and CROs to adopt our FDA-cleared wearable technology for their studies by directly embedding it in their Clinical Trial Management System (CTMS) and surpassing common operational challenges.
What is the Cloud API?
The Cloud API is a set of APIs that connect key Empatica Health Monitoring Platform data to third-party systems in real time. This service allows pharmaceutical companies and CROs to access and manage continuous participant data collected using EmbracePlus, Empatica’s cutting-edge wearable device, directly through their own system.
A Cloud-to-Cloud API means that participants using EmbracePlus can be managed natively from existing infrastructures, bypassing the need for multiple systems and software. By enabling direct integration with Clinical Trial Management Systems (CTMS) and Electronic Data Capture (EDC) platforms, the Cloud API ensures consistent data and lower setup and monitoring efforts. This optimizes workflows, facilitates seamless data exchange, and enhances the overall trial experience for participants and sites.
Key features of the Cloud API
- Seamless participant onboarding: Existing Participant Identifiers can be automatically imported from external systems into the Empatica Health Monitoring Platform, generating login credentials for the Empatica Care App. This means a single login for participants, and streamlined study management, reducing administrative and patient burden.
- Wearing detection and status management: Empatica’s Cloud API integrates key participant management functionalities from our platform into external systems and platforms. This means that for all trial participants using EmbracePlus, you can manage their status, including "Fully Terminate" or "Early Terminate" actions, and access wearing detection data for enhanced monitoring.
- Direct data integration: Easily integrate Empatica’s digital biomarkers from EmbracePlus into your existing cloud infrastructure, eliminating the need for manual data handling.
- Flexible data access: Store raw and digital biomarker data, with all data securely stored and accessible in industry-standard formats such as .csv and Avro.
